Tribute to Juergen Aldag
(:: Home ::)

In loving memory of Juergen Hans Bruno Aldag, "The Celebrity Artist", who passed away on Jan. 19, 2006 in Las Vegas. He was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1955 in Hamburg, Germany. He has lived in Las Vegas and Hawaii for almost 15 years, painting artwork of his superstar friends, including his fellow countrymen, Siegfried & Roy's celebrity animals. Juergen is world renown for his unique signature fine art, that no other artist can duplicate, as well as for the celebrities that collect them. He had a heart of gold and a smile that spoke volumes. He was one-of-a-kind and as colorful as his paintings. He loved the Beatles and the Scorpions music, chess and soccer. He will be missed and forever remembered by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Wendy Arvella; father, Bruno; sister, Angelica; cat/son, Ivory; and hundreds of paintings for all the world to share.

  Juergen we will keep you alive in our hearts and memories. You deserved to be remembered. You always remembered your friend's birthdays and other special occassions. You were a true friend to those that you really cared about.

We know you loved your wife and your life as an artist. You were a real man, and you took good care of your family, including your baby, your cat, Ivory. You were a proud husband and father and you were a gentleman.

You learned to love God and man and learned all about forgiveness. We know that in your life you were born again and had a change of heart. You were a very tough young man, and you had a lot of fights after studying karate, and hanging out with the Hell's Angels in Germany. But, later in life, when you came to America, all that changed and you became and a very loving human being.

We witnessed that change and know that you were a perfect example that man CAN CHANGE if he wants to, and if he has enough love in his heart, like you did.

We love you Juergen and we wish that you were still here, but, "To live is Christ, and to die is gain".

  There are very few words to come close to describ how sad I feel about Juergen's death. He was always smiling and planning for the future. It's just a pity that his life was cut short. He will be missed.

  When Juergen painted he was in another world. He called his art work "Fantasy Art". He was such dreamer and lived in his own world of fantasy. Many of his dreams came true and his fantasy lives on in his art. He will be remembered as a unique individual and a great artist. Most of all, I will remember his beautiful smile and spirit.

With love, sorrow and admiration, Raquel

  All is well that ends well. Juergen had a wonderful personality and talent. He worked very hard at his art and lived well. He was not a starving artist and lived to paint and travel. He lived in Hawaii for 7 years and then fulfilled his dream by moving to Las Vegas to paint for Siegfried & Roy. He loved his life and his wife Wendy and they traveled around the world together. He was happy to have a partner and loved his role as husband. He did good with his life and ended it by leaving behind some of the best artwork that he had ever painted before. He was too young to leave us, and he will be missed very much, but he lived as a free spirit and never gave up on his dreams.

Juergen, well done!
